The Scoutguard SG550 doesn't look like much but it's feature packed. At about the size of 20oz soda bottle it is highly portable. I could see using it as a rapidly deployable camera to check nearby areas while I hunt. It is very flexible in it's programming which is done via a wired remote control. In my initial test it takes very good pictures and good video up to 60 seconds. Battery life appears to be good and other reviews I've seen reported over 5000 pictures on 1 set of batteries (8 AA's).

I'll definitely be getting more of these in the future. I offers what cameras costing $100 more offer in a package that's half the size.

Picture quality... very good
video quality..... good
sensing............. fast -- (approx. 1 second - 1.5 seconds) + variable sensitivity level

This is a great camera I purchased it for security at my cabin. Tested it and it does a very good job capturing an good image that can identify an intruder. Just hope I've wasted my money and never have a break in but should that happen I know the Police will have quality pictures.
